So as I mentioned in my last post, I’ve taken up mountain biking 2 or 3 times a month. The bike I’ve been using is a hybrid bike – not really made for the trails that I’m finding myself on. So I started looking around for a new bicycle, something I can rely on to do the work I want it to do on the trials. Right tools for the job, as they say.
And here’s a nice shot of the bike I picked out – a KHS XC 104. I’m not sure if this is fully representative of the colors I’ll end up with (although it would be cool if they are!) since I ordered it from my bike store over the phone, but it’s a dual-suspension, disc brake, 27-speed bike. Niiiiiice. I’m looking forward to putting some dirt under this bad boy’s tires.

Yup, my new bike looks just like the picture… although I changed the pedals (got ones with clip-in locks on one side) and put in a bottle cage and air pump. Rides great, looking forward to getting out on the trails.
